Tummy troubles!

As many of you know, Cole was diagnosed with acid reflux when he was about six weeks old. After being on medication, the issues seemed to be okay despite LOTS of spitting up. Mommy and Daddy got used to "wearing" spit up and Cole seemed to be very tolerant of his developing digestive system. Recently the reflux appeared to be bothering him again as he was just not a happy camper. We took a visit to the doctor the other day and we now seem to be on the mend. A dosage change for medicine and a teeny bit of oatmeal before every feeding seem to be doing the trick. Cole took to his "first" meal very very well and seemed to know exactly what to do with the food! We are only twenty four hours into this change but he seems much better so we are crossing our fingers it stays that way. Here are some pictures of his first try at oatmeal!

Road Trip!

On Tuesday we took a ride with Uncle Brian and cousin Mason to go see Grampy, Grammy and Auntie Tara. Auntie Tara had a gymnastics meet so we took the boys and then headed back to their house for some lunch. Both boys were on their best behavior although Cole was a little "fussy" due to some reflux issues (went to the doctor yesterday and we seem to be on the mend - I'll post more on that later!). It was great to see the Wildeman/MacMullin clan! Here are some pics from the day!

Mason was all smiles!

Cole spent much of the day like this due to his tummy issues!

It was so great to see Auntie Tara compete!

Christmas 2009

We celebrated Cole's first Christmas with various events with friends and family. Although Cole did not know that Christmas day was different from any other day, we enjoyed sharing in his first Christmas and creating traditions as a family together. We could not be more blessed to have this adorable little guy in our lives and feel that he is the best gift we received this year! As we celebrated the birth of our first son, it was also important for us to recognize the true meaning of Christmas which is the birth of Jesus! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well! We look forward to many more wonderful memories together as a family in 2010!

The family Christmas Celebrations began several weeks ago with the Wildeman/MacMullin/Noyes families doing our annual get together. In the past we have attended a show and gone to dinner but with two new additions to the family we figured going to see a show probably wouldn't be the best option. Instead we spent the day touring two Newport Mansions and then enjoyed dinner at the Black Pearl. It was a great day with everyone and the boys were very well behaved!

On Christmas Eve we hosted an Open House for our families. We enjoyed getting together with both sides of our families (oh and all the delicious food and drinks weren't too bad either!)

We spent Christmas Day in our pj's ALL DAY! It was wonderful as we enjoyed being together as our new family in our new house. In the morning we took a walk down to Brian, Tat, and Mason's and then came back home to cook a turkey dinner and hang out together. Later in the day we took Zoey for a walk through the neighborhood. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable first Christmas as a family.

On Saturday, we attended the last of our Christmas celebrations at Mima and Papa's house with the Brown/Casado/Perrault/Wildeman families. It was great getting together with everyone and enjoying some delicious food!

Three Months Old!

Wow - time does certainly fly! Cole is now three months old and we cannot believe how big he has gotten. It seems like he changes over night! He is quickly growing out of clothes as he packs on the pounds! He's also working on reaching many milestones. He is now holding his head up pretty much on his own and making lots of cooing and giggling noises. He loves to tell stories to anyone who will listen! We are so in love with this little man!

Hard to believe that three short months ago he was this small!

And now look at those rolls!

We survived!

Last Wednesday Mommy made the transition back to work! It was a tough goodbye (for Mommy) but we made it through with minimal tears! Mima spent that first day with Cole and he was on his best behavior. Mommy got lucky with a snow day on Monday so she really was only back at work for four days. We are now on Christmas vacation and are enjoying spending time with one another! As this year comes to a close, we have reflected on what an amazing year it has been for our family. We are so thankful for this beautiful little boy and we cannot imagine what life was like without him. We have been blessed with little Cole, a new home, health and happiness...what more could we ask for? We are excited to share in Cole's first Christmas and we promise to capture these moments on camera. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! God Bless!!!

Cole loves music! Here he is shaking his arms/legs to some Bob Marley!

Loves to snuggle with Mommy and Daddy after work!

A happy boy who behaved well for Mima!

All good things must come to an end....

It's time for Mommy to go back to work (boo hoo!) although she only has to go for five days and then gets another week and a half with Cole before returning in January! That will make for a nice transition for both Mommy and Cole (hopefully!). I can't believe twelve weeks have gone by. I sat and looked through some pictures this morning and was amazed that just twelve short weeks ago we were bringing home our five pound miracle! He is now approximately twelve pounds and continues to grow! We have spent the last week working hard on getting Cole to take a bottle which we are proud to say he has now mastered! We've had some nice visits with family and we look forward to seeing more friends and family over the Christmas holiday. Here are a few of this weeks photos to enjoy!

Zoey is supervising tummy time

He's worked hard on that head control!

Zoey likes to give encouragement too!

Mommy's hoping that he's saying he doesn't want to be a Red Sox Fan!
But Daddy is hoping he is!

All bundled up for the snow!

Can't believe how big he is!

Happy Baby!

Cole continues to become more alert and interactive on a daily basis. We are really enjoying seeing his little personality and "playing" with him while he is awake! His little smile, laugh, and gorgeous dimples continue to melt our hearts! Hard to get mad at those dimples when he is doing that at 3 am!!! Mommy is preparing to go back to work next week and that little smile makes her dread leaving him (but it will be that much sweeter to come home to!) Here are a few of this weeks smiles we caught on camera!

Weekend of Fun!

This weekend was a busy weekend for us. Cole got to see many friends and family which he really enjoyed - flashing them his dimples often! We got a visit from our good friends Joanna and Walter (the new Mr. & Mrs. Zesk) on Saturday. Unfortunately we didn't remember to take a picture until AFTER Cole went to bed!!! We enjoyed some take out with them and they got to snuggle with Cole who was on his best behavior for the most part! On Sunday we woke up to our first snow in our new house (see pictures below). We made the trek back to Little Compton with Auntie Tat, Uncle Brian and Mason to pick up the Christmas tree we had tagged a few weeks ago. While we were there the boys got to sit on Santa's lap which they both seemed to enjoy! Once we were back home, it was time for a visit from the Northeastern girls. We had a great time enjoying each others company, catching up and also sharing some "treats" with one another!

The girls - minus Linds who was snuggling Cole!

They put him to sleep with all the love they were giving him!

It was COLD!!!

Snuggling with Santa!

Busy Weekend!

On Saturday Mom, Dad, and Cole headed to Dartmouth to Salt Marsh Pottery. Mom's co-workers had given her a gift certificate to have Cole's hand and footprints done. We were looking forward to this and hoping that Cole would be on his best behavior. He was very cooperative and we are looking forward to receiving the finished product. After we got home, we got a visit from Grampy and Grammy who were on their way home from New York. Auntie Tat, Uncle Brian, and cousin Mason came over as well and we all enjoyed each other's company. Later in the day, Cole also got to meet Grampy Jack (visiting from Florida) and also Auntie Becca (visiting from Maine). Mommy and Daddy forgot to document these first meetings unfortunately but there will be plenty of pictures in the future! Here are some pics from the weekend!

First the hands...

then the feet!

Cole was so relaxed with Grampy he passed out!

Smiling at Grammy!
