I'm realizing it has been a while since I have updated the blog. I had been good about attempting a weekly post but time has gotten away from us and we have run into a few "bumps" in the road. Cole continues to struggle with his reflux and digestive issues - probably the products of being born five weeks early and also inheriting yucky tummy issues from Mommy and Daddy (poor kid!). We are still in the process of working it all out between new medicines, formulas, phone calls and trips to the doctor. The long sleepless nights have taken their toll and have brought us back to the newborn days when we first came home from the hospital. We see the happy boy that Cole can be and we know he is well on his way there but it is hard as his Mommy and Daddy to see our little guy in obvious discomfort! We are so thankful for to our family and friends for supporting us through these "bumps" either with phone calls, visits, advice, babysitting, etc. It certainly hasn't been easy but we couldn't do it without everyone! I'm also so thankful for a loving and supportive husband who has taken over household things and comforted me as I go through "mommy guilt and sadness" while trying to make my little guy more comfortable! We are praying that the most recent change in medicine will make our nights much smoother and Cole a happy camper!
Aside from all of that, Cole is working very hard to sit independently. He is tripodding very well and continuously grabbing for things and trying to put them in his mouth! He continues to be amazed by Zoey's every move and gets much joy from watching her go about her daily doggy activities.
We have taken advantage of the beautiful weather and have gotten outside for some nice long walks along the reservoir. Daddy is working hard in the yard at the landscaping so we can enjoy our backyard this spring!
No pictures on this lap top to post but I will try to log on tonight from home to post some recent pictures! Thanks again for all of your support and please continue to pray for Cole's digestive issues (and for Mommy and Daddy too!)
