Time keeps on tickin, tickin, tickin.....

Here we are and Cole is now nine months old!!! We can't believe that in just three short months we will be celebrating his first birthday! Summer is in full swing and Mommy and Cole are really enjoying summer vacation together. We are looking forward to trips to the beach, zoo, Mima's pool, etc. as well as the music class we will be taking!

Cole is on the go - ALL.THE.TIME!!! He is non-stop from the moment he gets up until he crashes! He is also into everything so we are doing lots of babyproofing and getting our exercise while chasing him around. He desperately wants to walk and is pulling himself up on everything - including his crib - why sleep when you can do pull ups right? He continues to have a wonderful smiley and silly personality. We are enjoying playing and interacting with him and watching all the new things he continues to do! He LOVES his Daddy and his doggy (although she is not as intrigued with him - except for meal times!)

We had Cole's 9 month appt. at the pediatrician and an appointment with the GI doctor at Hasbro and we got good reports from everyone!!! Yay!!! He continues to be long and lean (25% for weight and 75% for height). The GI doctor upped his meds and wants to see him back in two months to see if the spitting up has subsided. Now that he is on the go the spit up seems to be at an all time worse but he doesn't seem bothered by it which is good. Just lots of messes for mommy to clean! The sleeping continues to be a challenge - Mommy just purchased four more binkies so now there are a total of 9 in his crib - maybe he'll be able to put one of them back in himself!!! We'll see.....

We are so thankful for this little boy and all the smiles he has brought into our lives. We are looking forward to a fun filled summer together as a family. We will be quite busy but we are looking forward to trips to NH with friends, the Cape for Marcy and Jeff's wedding, and other family/friend get togethers!

Eight Months!

Wow - can't believe our little guy is eight months old! We have been very busy so we apologize in our slacking of updates and pictures! Our weekends have been filled with trips away, visits from family and friends and enjoying the beautiful weather. We are having so much fun with Cole - he is so interactive - giggly, silly, and smiley - parenthood couldn't be better!!! This past week he has perfected his army crawl - his favorite things include chasing Zoey around and putting everything into his mouth that does not belong there so needless to say - we are BUSY but loving every minute of it! The sleeping through the night is happening more and more although not consistently but it appears we are moving in that direction (knock on wood!) His bottom two teeth are in and he appears to be getting the top two! The reflux in terms of pain appears to be better although the spitting up is still bad and therefore the washer and dryer are still getting good use! We have Cole's nine month check up in two weeks and also an appointment with the pediatric GI doctor at Hasbro. Hopefully we will get good reports! Mommy is almost done with school and is very much looking forward to spending lots of quality time with Cole! Took Cole to the Memorial Day parade to honor Poppy (Katie's grandfather) who passed away on Memorial Day several years ago and loved going to the parade! We miss you Pop!
