We're surviving!!!

Just a quick update to let you know that Cole and Mommy have made the transition back to school/daycare successfully! It was interesting dropping Cole off last week since he has changed so much since June. He was tentative at first and would sit on the floor with one arm wrapped around my leg and the other arm was used to play with a toy. It was his little way of saying "Mommy I'm not ready for you to go yet!" Which was fine b/c honestly....Mommy wasn't ready to go yet either! He has adjusted well for the most part - it took a few days but he seems to be back in the groove! He doesn't get to nap as well there because they are busy busy busy and there is so much to see and do - therefore - his bedtime has moved up because he is just so pooped at the end of the day! Fortunately I have been very busy at work so not much time to worry about the little guy during the day! It is such a great feeling for Tom and I to be able to go about our work day and not have to worry about Cole - he is in such great hands with Donna during the day and we could not be more grateful for the care she gives to him on a daily basis! She is a true godsend!

He is starting to stand more independently and can go from squatting to standing. We are still working on the walking thing but he is a pro when holding onto his hands! His eating continues to improve and it seems each week he is eating a little bit more. He still doesn't have a great appetite but we are hoping that changes down the road - for now he is just too busy to eat! He is also babbling much more which is enjoyable to listen to on our car rides to and from Dartmouth!

We had a great labor day weekend - spending lots of time with friends and family, having lunch in Newport, and building Cole a sandbox!

We don't have pictures to share now because Mommy's camera was being fixed - however - we got it back today and Daddy surprised Mommy with a new lens so more pictures to come soon!

Can't believe the little guy will be one in two weeks! We will definitely post pictures of the occasion!
